Sell Sheet for William Malone’s PARASOMNIA
A sell sheet for William (HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL '99) Malone's PARASOMNIA was being shown off at the American Film Market to help promote the film. Malone's latest entry into the horror genre tells the story of Laura Baxter, a young woman who suffers from a medical condition called "parasomnia."Posted by Mister Midnight
Prom Night review
I am not as well versed in the cinematic classical horror genre as some individuals are. So I popped the remake of PROM NIGHT in my DVD, and I went in with an open mind. I felt this movie had potential but from the outset there was nothing redeeming about the flick. My one goal in viewing slasher movies, is for the murders to have variety. It's not enjoyable to watch different people get killed in the same manner; it reeks of laziness and a lack of creativity.Posted by Darren O'Connor
Vindication trailer
Guilt shows no mercy!” Vindication is a horror film with a disturbing and chilling psychological twist. Not much for pure blood and guts storytelling, though Vindication has lots of severed arteries, Bart Mastronardi’s feature film debut focuses more on the troubles of its protagonist, Nicolas Bertram, a young man who has trouble finding himself in the world.Posted by Mister Midnight
Dee Wallace Interview
Dee Wallace will forever be known for her portrayal of Mary, the newly divorced single mother in Steven Spielberg’s classic E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. This fact rests well with Dee partly because she views E.T. as one of the most pivotal family films since The Wizard of Oz.Posted by Bryan Layne
Stuart Gordon Interview
In 1985, at a particularly young age, I was introduced to Stuart Gordon by way of a rental from a local video store. The film was Re-Animator and the production value on the whole product knocked me out. It was the first time I realized that films without mass distribution could be just as good, if not better, than all the movies showing at your local theaters.Posted by Bryan Layne
The Descent (2006) DVD review
A friendly group of strong women spelunkers meet once a year to go, well...spelunking. Who ever wrote this film, took modern film theory in college. I'd bet money. Or, alternately, I could churn out a rather excellent essay about this film using basic feminist psychoanalysis--and that isn't necessarily a bad thing.Posted by Dweezil
