This weekend while the 4th sequel in the SAW franchise took in an estimated $30Million at the box office, a privileged group of horror fans in the city of Edmonton took in a selection of less popular but infinitely better films at the Deadmonton Film Festival.

Just got word about this year's lineup for the Deadmonton Horror Film Festival which will take place from October 24th until the 26th at the Metro Cinema (9828-101A Avenue) in Edmonton, Alberta (that's in Canada for those who aren't in the know).

Big Man Japan trailer

An eccentric man aged about 40 lives alone in a decrepit house in Tokyo. He periodically transforms into a giant, about 30 meters tall, and defends Japan by battling similarly sized monsters that turn up and destroy buildings.

The Chasing World review

I had high expectations for THE CHASING WORLD. After watching the trailer, I was hoping that this movie would contain some cool scenes of parkour. Parkour is an activity involving moving from one point to another as quickly and efficiently as possible. In CASINO ROYALE, parkour was shown during the foot chase sequence involving the two cranes.
